Our Mission

Our mission, always, is to aid in the Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Placement of Abandoned, Abused, Neglected and Homeless dogs in Southwest Florida.
We promote Adoption of Shelter Dogs and Strive to Rescue as well as assist other Rescues and Transports as a Partner in an effort to pull dogs from Shelters that regularly Euthanize due to issues with space.
We advocate responsible ownership, education, and owner awareness emphasizing the importance of Spay and Neuter for all dogs and cats regardless of breed.
We are devoted to positively changing the public’s perception of the misunderstood Bully breeds.
We will never stop working to End Breed Specific Legislation.

Company Overview
We are a 501(c)(3) Florida Non Profit Organization.
We are all unpaid volunteers dedicated to rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of dogs.

We specialize in training and rehabilitating dogs used for Bait Dogs and Fight Dogs and we take on most medical conditions.
We foster in a private home environment and provide all medical, nutritional, behavioral, and emotional care and support needed to get dogs originally slated for death into loving forever homes.
We operate solely on public donations and are currently seeking foster homes.
We are always accepting donations of animal supplies including, but not limited to blankets, towels, dog food, beds, toys, collars/leashes, kennels/crates, laundry detergent, nail clippers, and grooming equipment/supplies.
We provide all animals in the rescue with all regular vaccines, behavior modification when needed, routine preventatives (hw/flea), medical care/treatment, and sterilization prior to adoption into a permanent home. We are also seeking monetary donations as well. The average initial cost for vetting one animal in our rescue is $200 and that does NOT include the cost of additional medical issues/needs. Monthly prevention for heartworm and fleas is an additional $30-$40 per dog monthly.
We need donations in order to properly take care of all of our rescues. Please donate if you can. NO donation is too small.

Adoption Policy

Thank you for choosing to adopt a dog! The decision to adopt is an important one, which we take very seriously. Before submitting the adoption application, please take a moment to carefully read and complete the adoption application entirely. Please understand that if information is left unanswered, it will delay processing.

In order to adopt a dog from Paws Crossed Inc., the applicant (and co-applicant) must be at least 25 years old (younger applicants may be considered on a case by case basis), be able to provide references, identification, consent to a home visit and pay the adoption fee.

**All owned dogs (current and previous) MUST be on a continuous heartworm prevention or the application will be immediately denied.

Please visit our website www.Pawscrossed.dog to see our available dogs. All of our dogs come spayed/neutered (if they are too young, you will need to agree to a Spay/Neuter Contract when they turn of age), up to date on vaccinations, microchip, heartworm tested, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. Sometimes dogs are being treated for ailments and will need continued veterinarian care. If you choose to adopt a dog receiving treatment you agree to continue with our vet and medication. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing dogs.

An application does not obligate you to adopt and can be transferred to any dog. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some dogs receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in or even a different dog, a volunteer will give you a call within 7-10 days. If you would like to transfer your application to a different dog, please email us immediately and we will tell you if the dog chosen is still available and or if it will be a good fit.

Adopting a new dog is a commitment for the lifetime of your new dog! We like to make sure that your new dog is a good fit for your entire family including your existing pets. After a trial adoption period if you are ready to commit we will finalize your adoption. The Adoption fee will be due at that time. Fees are as follows: All puppies (12 months or younger) will be $275, all adults (13 months or older) will be $225. Pure breeds, Toy breeds, and "Designer" breeds will have an increased fee depending on the medical and/or personal care needs of that particular dog. Adoption fees are subject to change at the rescue's discretion.

Paws Crossed Inc. reserves the right to deny any application. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
