Sulcata Tortoises's Story
We have sulcata tortoises! Currently we have several sulcata tortoises who need new homes. The biggest is a male named Ricky Bobby, who is about 40 pounds already. We also have some smaller ones that only weigh a couple pounds currently. Sulcatas are the third largest tortoise species in the world, so please understand what you're getting into before applying. All of our adoptable tortoises have spent plenty of time grazing grass, but they are also used to eating leafy greens indoors during the colder months. They are all familiar with people and other animals, but they will require plenty of space and care.

If you are interested in adopting one or two of our sulcata tortoises, please submit an online application at www.forgottenfriend.org/apply.

Please understand:

1. We cannot ship reptiles so you must be able to pickup in the Lancaster, PA area.

2. You must be 18 to adopt a reptile (sorry kids).

3. You must be willing to sign a no-breeding agreement and available for a home visit if needed.

4. Our #1 goal is to put our animals in the best homes and we reserve the right to deny applications for any reason. We are a very small nonprofit organization so thanks for understanding.

5. $50 Adoption fees benefit the reptile rescue.
