Soju's Story
Intake Date: 8/22/24
Available

Soju is an adult male bearded dragon who was originally transferred to us from Orange County Animal Services. Soju is a sweet and friendly dragon, but is definitely a special needs case. Soju has limited mobility and our veterinarian believes he has spinal canal narrowing, causing decreased rear limb motion. He has had radiographs and repeat bloodwork, both of which are normal. We do tong-feed Soju his insects and he strongly prefers superworms and hornworms. He also enjoys sitting on his soft bed under the basking light. Soju takes two medications, gabapentin and meloxicam, to help with any pain and inflammation. He does well on these medications and is pretty easy to medicate. Soju's adoption fee is $60.

Soju will require a minimum 75 gallon enclosure.

Care guide: https://bewildnc.org/bearded-dragon/

PLEASE READ!
If you are interested in adopting this animal, you need to fill out an application at www.bewildnc.org/apply. Read the application carefully and answer the questions thoroughly. Above all, be honest! Research the species you would like to adopt in advance and consult multiple sources, we are happy to answer questions. Adopters agree to pick-up the animal in Durham within 7 days of their approval.
