Scarf's Story

Scarf is a 4 year old female Hermann's tortoise who was brought into our rescue on December 12. Her previous owners said she is a very sweet girl and rather social. While she doesn't live in the same enclosure as other tortoises, she has other tortoises in her foster home that she has encountered during "playtime" and she does not mind them. Scarf has been eating well for us and is not a picky girl at all! The only thing we have fount that she does not like, is the stems or thinker pieces to the greens she eats. Scarf has minimal pyramiding and appears healthy from the outside. Scarf should be ready to go to her forever home on January 12, but don't wait until then to get in touch with us and get her enclosure all set up!

This animal needs an indoor enclosure of 8’x4’ due to their large size. Ideally the outside enclosure is larger for the warmer months, but an 8’x4’ size enclosure for outdoors is the minimum. Proof of habitat will be requested at time of adoption inquiry.

If you are interested in adopting Scarf, please reach out to us at christinaspets@netzero.net or start an inquiry on this page.
Must be able to travel to the Palmerton, PA area for pick up.
