Rainier's Story

Intake date: 12/22/22
Status: Available on 1/22/22

Rainier is a male subadult ball python. The person who surrendered him originally boarded her snake with a reptile rescue and they gave her back Rainier, who was not her original snake. The rescue did not give them any information about this snake, so we do not know his age or history. He seems to be a subadult though, likely between 3-5 years, and is in good condition. Rainier eats frozen/thawed rodents and handles well. He can be a little nervous with new people but calms down quickly. His adoption fee is $50.

Care sheet: https://bewildnc.org/ball-python/

**We do NOT approve glass tanks/aquariums for ball pythons due to humidity issues. While they can be appropriately modified, this is not easy for a beginner keeper and we have seen repeated issues with stuck shed and anorexia. Please check out our care guide for alternative housing methods--we do approve PVC cages and appropriate bin setups.**

PLEASE READ!
If you are interested in adopting this animal, you need to fill out an application at https://bewildnc.org/apply/. Read the application carefully and answer the questions thoroughly. Above all, be honest!
