As one of the most common species of snake kept as a pet in the entire world, Willy is looking for a new home that is ready for the commitment of having a snake with as good as a reputation as him. <br/><br/>ENCLOSURE: <br/>The bigger the better! But no smaller than 36" x 18" x 18" for an adult<br/><br/>SUBSTRATE: <br/>Ball pythons do best with a mixture of substrates that retains humidity, such as soil, sand, mulch and moss.<br/><br/>HIDES:<br/>Offer ample hiding space with at least one hide on the warm side and one on the cool side. A thermometer and humidity gauge will help make sure the temperature is correct.<br/><br/>LIGHTING:<br/>Ball Pythons require a day and night cycle. UVB is not required but there are some benefits of having UVB, such as improving overall health and immune system.<br/><br/>TEMPERATURE & HUMIDTY: <br/>Daytime: 75-80°F on the cool side and 80-85°F on the warm side. Basking spot should be 88-92°F.<br/>Nighttime: 70-75°F.<br/><br/>DIET: <br/>Carnivores, preying on frozen thawed rats, mice, chicks, or quail.<br/>Juveniles eat weekly while adults can be offered a meal every 3-4 weeks.<br/>Ball pythons are known for going off food for periods of time at random.<br/><br/>WATER: <br/>Offer fresh water from a dish at all times.<br/><br/>SHEDDING: <br/>Juveniles and babies will shed more frequently since they are growing quickly. Adults will shed less frequently. During shed the snake may refuse food, and be a little more defensive!<br/><br/>TEMPERAMENT:<br/>Ball pythons are a very common pet snake due to their docile nature and natural inclination to hide in defence rather than bite.<br/><br/>LIFESPAN:<br/>Ball pythons can live for 25-35+ years.
