Lark's Story

Intake date: 5/2/25
Status: Available

Lark is a juvenile ball python who was transferred to us from a rural shelter after being found discarded on the side of the road with 5 other snakes. Lark was pretty thin when he was first surrendered but has been eating well and has doubled in size! He happily eat F/T small rats. Lark is pretty easy to handle but is still a young snake. His adoption fee is $70.

Lark will require a minimum 36" x 18" x 12" enclosure right now, but will likely need a 4' enclosure when he is a full grown adult.

**We do NOT recommend glass tanks/aquariums for ball pythons due to humidity issues. While they can be appropriately modified, this is not easy for a beginner keeper and we have seen repeated issues with stuck shed and anorexia. Please check out our care guide for alternative housing methods--we recommend PVC cages and appropriate bin setups.**

PLEASE READ!
If you are interested in adopting this animal, you need to fill out an application at https://bewildnc.org/apply/.
