Ghost's Story

Ghost has been with me for quite some time. He came in originally with a surrender case of 6 adult leopard geckos. The owner had been taking in rehomed geckos 1 by 1 and housing them 2 geckos per 10gallon tank. She was suddenly facing homelessness & we took in the group of them for her. Their ages were unknown. They ranged in terms of friendliness. Ghost was the last one up for adoption after his 5 mates had found their homes.

One day when I cleaned his cage he decided to drop his tail. I took him offline for adoption while we monitored his progress in regrowing the tail. It came back pretty fast & he should be ready to find a permanent home now. Regrown tails will not look the same as the original tail, this soft skin will be very close in appearance to the end result of his tail healing.

He's pretty finicky & I won't be adopting him out for a first time owner. He needs to be a display/observation pet for a mature adult. If any handling is attempted it must be slow going, patient & on his terms. It can be a fun bonding experience to try & earn the trust of an animal BUT this is not the guy for someone to push their expectations onto. If you pick him up & he squirms, either you will drop him or hold firm & get bit. This animal requires experience in reptile handling. Stressing him out can cause him to drop his tail again.

Adoption fee is $30. Proof of proper setup & care knowledge will be required. Send a message if you are interested, detailing your reptile experience & the habitat you have prepared
