Dijon's Story
Meet Dijon — He's Got Character (and Bowlegs) to Spare!

Dijon may be small, but he's been through a lot. He and Mustard came to us from the same rough situation, and as the underdog in their co-housing setup, Dijon arrived seriously underweight and suffering from metabolic bone disease. Luckily, his MBD is no longer active — but he'll carry some lasting reminders of it: an endearing underbite and a pair of bowed little legs that give him serious bulldog energy. He gets around and eats just fine, deformities and all — this guy doesn't let anything slow him down.

Dijon does need a little extra help sometimes. Because of his leg shape, shed can get stuck on his toes, and he needs a helping hand (gently!) to get it off — something he tolerates but doesn't exactly enjoy. His future family should be comfortable with occasional shed-assist duty and a gecko who might just grumble about it.

We're actively working on getting Dijon back up to a healthy weight, and he's responding well — this little guy has a good appetite and a lot of heart.

What Dijon Needs to Thrive:

Home: At least a 40-gallon tank (36" x 18" x 18") — he'll need a fresh enclosure of his own, as he doesn't come with one.
Substrate: We use a topsoil/play sand mix — easy on his feet and easy to maintain.
Heat: A warm side around 88–92F and a cooler side around 75–80F, with a basking spot of at least 94F.
Light: UVB lighting isn't optional for this guy — it's an important part of keeping his bones strong long-term.
Humidity: 30–40%, with a humid hide to help ease his trickier sheds.
Menu: Gut-loaded, calcium-dusted crickets, mealworms, or dubia roaches — served every two to three days. Because of his MBD history, calcium and vitamin supplementation is especially important for him — his adopter should keep this consistent for life.
Special care: Occasional help removing stuck shed from his toes — a soft cloth soak or gentle assist usually does the trick.
Lifespan: 10-20 years or more!

Dijon is looking for a patient adopter who won't mind a little extra TLC and won't judge a gecko for his gait. He's already proven he's a fighter — now he just needs someone in his corner.

Interested in meeting Dijon? We're actively working on getting Dijon back up to a healthy weight, and he's responding well — this little guy has a good appetite and a lot of heart.
What Dijon Needs to Thrive:
Home: At least a 40-gallon tank (36" x 18" x 18") — he'll need a fresh enclosure of his own, as he doesn't come with one.
Substrate: We use a topsoil/play sand mix — easy on his feet and easy to maintain.
Heat: A warm side around 88–92F and a cooler side around 75–80F, with a basking spot of at least 94F.
