Bodhi's Story
Intake date: 7/21/25
Status: Available

Bodhi is a 6-7' juvenile female reticulated python. She was originally found outdoors in NC with several puncture wounds, abrasions, and a missing right eye. Bodhi was treated for her wounds and has a scar from one of the abrasions. She handled her treatments and antibiotic injections well! Bodhi is calm and easy to handle. She is the friendliest retic we have had surrendered so far! Like all retics, she has a very strong food response and happily eats F/T rats. Her adoption fee is $300.

Bodhi will require at least a 8' x 2' x 2' enclosure right now, but as an adult she will need an even larger enclosure (10' x 3' or 8' x 4'). We will NOT adopt her out to a beginner reptile keeper or to someone who is not willing to follow the state restrictions. She is PET ONLY; we will not adopt her out to a retic breeder.

In NC, large constrictors are regulated by Article 55. You must read this and follow all of the stipulations if you intend to adopt. We will ask for proof of the bite plan, escape plan, and proper locks/labels. This is non-negotiable and part of the state law when keeping certain reptiles.

PLEASE READ!
If you are interested in adopting this animal, you need to fill out an application at https://bewildnc.org/apply/.
