Blizzard's Story
MEET BLIZZARD:
I am a beautiful 8-year-old Snow Albino corn snake looking for a loving forever home! I was surrendered to Reptilia when my previous owner realized they could no longer care for me. I am friendly, tolerate handling well, and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm and established adult snake.

ENCLOSURE:
Enclosure size: No smaller than 36? x 18? x 18? But, the bigger the better!

SETUP:
Substrate: A mix of dirt, sand and mulch would be best and allow for burrowing. Provide at least 3-4 inches of substrate.
At least one hide in the enclosure, but providing a warm hide and a cool hide is best.
A water bowl, large enough for the snake to soak in.

LIGHTING:
Lighting: Corn snakes require a day and night cycle. UVB is not required but there are some benefits of having UVB, such as improves overall health and immune system.

ENVIRONMENT:
75-80°F on the cool side and 80-85°F on the warm side. Basking spot should be 88-92°F. Humidity levels are best between 30%- 60%

DIET:
Mice, rats, quail, chicks, and eggs are all good, readily available food options.

TEMPERMENT:
Corn snakes are a very common pet snake, and a fantastic beginner snake! They tend to have a calm temperament, although can be very active and tend to move around a lot more than other common pet snakes, such as ball pythons. Very reliable eaters, and very entertaining to watch while they explore their surroundings.
Lifespan can range from 25- 35 years!

For more information about our adoption program at Reptilia Whitby, please email zoo.whitby@reptilia.org
