Biggie's Story

Meet Biggie!

Biggie is a four year old Sulcata tortoise who came to our rescue for a better life. Our vet believes Biggie is a female due to size and shell shape but we are not certain (no sexing test was done) Biggie came to us with pyramiding and an indentation of her carapace. We are hopeful with corrected husbandry, she can continue to thrive. We seek an experienced home willing to provide for her and prepared for her long life. She eats well, has been examined by an exotic vet as well as had a fecal. Please research and understand the needs of this tortoise. They are a long term commitment. They need a large, safe enclosure, proper lighting and heat, and protection from dogs, kids and wildlife. They are not a beginner’s tortoise or a child’s pet. If you have time and space and are committed to offer this wonderful being a home, please reach out.

Please email Misspitsrescue@gmail.com and include:
Full name, address, if you own or rent, your tortoise experience and 2-3 references (not all family please)

Biggie’s adoption fee is $150

Biggie is located in SW WA

Misspits Rescue's Adoption Policy
Misspits Rescue takes in dogs from various sources including local shelters and owner surrenders. All dogs are current on shots, spayed/neutered, microchipped and treated for parasites prior to adoption. Dogs live in a foster home first so we are able to provide some insight into their behavior, training, likes and dislikes etc so that we can try to make the best match. Our mission is to place them in a forever home so there is a thorough adoption process including a home visit. We are a non-profit rescue and all adoption fees go back to supporting and helping more dogs. Please contact us if you are interested in one of our dogs. Thank you for considering a rescue!
