Big Bean's Story
Please note; Big Bean is not in our rescue. We are assisting her owners with her placement. Please read Bean’s profile fully.

Bean is a 6.5 year old Red Footed Tortoise. She is outgoing and friendly and sociable. She is still growing has a very large enclosure, which will come with her.

Bean eats a proper diet, including supplements and has the correct UVA and UVB lighting. Her family has been working on raising the humidity in her enclosure, as had some pyramiding on her shell. She had been vetted a few years ago and treated for parasites.

Bean’s primary caretaker has been a college student, who has taken good loving care of her, but is finding it increasingly difficult to give her the extra time she was used to.

Bean’s mom would like to make sure that her new home has time to let her free roam each day, as she really loves it. She would also like for her new home to be able to have a predator-proof space for her to spend time/live outside during the summer months.

Big Bean’s care is specific, but not difficult at all. Please keep in mind that this species of tortoise lives for upwards of 50 years so she will be with your family for a very long time. ?? ?

Please email us for more information or to receive an adoption application!
