Alex is an African spurred tortoise (sulcata) who is about 2 years old. He is a bit shy until he gets to know you. His main diet consists of grass, weeds, and orchard hay. He also enjoys elm leaves, rose petals, grape leaves, mulberry leaves and hibiscus flowers. He has lived outdoors all summer with no problems. He is indoors for winter.
