Woody was running loose outside when, fortunately, he was scooped up by a good Samaritan and taken into foster care. Woody has some visible scarring on his nose and ear, and we will never know what he endured before he was found. He has E. cuniculi and a slight head tilt, but has been living with both without issue. While in rescue he met his true love, Orchid, and the two bunnies bonded almost instantly. Orchid, too, has E. cuniculi but has never shown any signs or symptoms. EC is a very common microsporidian parasite which is present in roughly 80-90% of domestic rabbits, but most will never show any indications of the disease. Woody and Orchid are deeply bonded and love to eat, sleep and play together. Woody is an outgoing rabbit, Orchid is a little more shy at first - but they both love to be petted by their humans!
