Winston's Story
Winston came to WHRS from an animal services facility, so we don't know much about his history. We do know that he was surrendered to the facility by his owner, who said he was four years old. Winston is a regal and dignified fellow, who likes things his way. When he first arrived he did not like hands coming into his enclosure. He has since realized that hands bring him food, which he can't get enough of. He'll allow a few short pets of his velvety fur while he's eating before he moves away. Winston would do best living in a spacious exercise pen, so he doesn't feel trapped and defensive in a cage. He will need some time and patience to learn to trust and bond with his new family. But once he's confident, he'll be sure to show you who's boss and demand his wants and needs! Winston is litter box trained and drinks out of a large, ceramic bowl. He is neutered, vaccinated against RHDV and waiting impatiently for his forever home.

If you're interested in adopting Winston, please fill out our adoption questionnaire, which can be found on the adoption page of our website at wisconsinhrs.org.

Adopters receive a free copy of the House Rabbit Handbook: How to Live with an
Urban Rabbit and a complimentary one year membership to the Wisconsin House Rabbit Society.
