Baby Vortex has actually been here for a couple weeks now. We're just embarrassingly behind on introductions.<br/><br/>She was caught outside during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. Being a Mini Rex, she's wrapped in that ridiculously plush fur that makes them overheat much faster than many other rabbits, so she was incredibly lucky someone found her when they did.<br/><br/>Right before being rescued, she'd helped herself to a neighbor's entire strawberry bush.<br/><br/>Not a few strawberries.<br/><br/>The entire bush.<br/><br/>Then, with the confidence of someone who had absolutely no regrets, she stretched out on the concrete next to the plants and fell asleep with a belly so full she couldn't even be bothered to move.<br/><br/>Its the kind of decision making that makes perfect sense when you're a baby bunny. <br/><br/>Thankfully, someone spotted her before the heat became a tragedy instead of a funny story.<br/><br/>Since arriving here (covered in ticks which we took care of), she's continued proving that she's completely unburdened by impulse control. <br/><br/>I made the mistake of setting my nail clippers on the table for approximately 3 seconds.
