Violet & Forrest's Story
Talk about a double dose of adorable!

Please meet Violet & her son Forrest. These two precious Holland lop buns arrived at Luna’s House in late May 2025—along with Forrest’s five sisters! Violet was only eight months old when we met her, but the six babies she had in tow were her second litter of kits. We knew we had to stop the cycle for Violet, so we welcomed her & her babies in from the open-admission shelter at which they had found themselves.

The babies remained with Mama Violet until they were old enough to be on their own, then Violet’s five daughters went to foster care and mom and son remained at our facility as a bonded pair. Violet was spayed (Yay, no more babies!) and when he was old enough, Forrest was neutered.

Violet & Forrest are ready to move on to bigger and better adventures with a family of their own. Violet is just under a year old and little Forrest is now about five months of age (as of September 2025). Both rabbits are very sweet and would do well in a home with most anyone, including gentle older children.

Whether they are running and playing, munching on hay or fresh leafy greens, or snoozing, Violet and Forrest are together, an absolutely perfect pair of cutie pies. All they need now is to be adopted into their “Happily Ever After.”

If you would be interested in adopting a rabbit from Luna's House, please take a moment to fill out an online application: https://www.lunashouse.org/php_email_form/formphp.html

Once we have received and approved your completed application, we can schedule a time for you to come meet with rabbits available for adoption to see with whom you have the best connection. Our adoption fee for a pair of rabbits is $125. This is a donation meant to help us cover part of the cost of caring for the animal you are adopting while (s)he is with us, including veterinary exam, spay or neuter surgery, deworming, RHDV2 vaccinations, food, bedding, etc.

Violet & Forrest have both been vaccinated against RHVD2.
