Rutabaga is the dutch rabbit and is a female.<br/><br/>Tumshie and Rutabaga were found in a cardboard box on the side of a busy Temecula road during the summer of 2024. Their estimated date of birth is June 2024. They were about two months old upon rescue.<br/><br/>They are spayed/neutered and vaccinated.<br/><br/>Tumshie is the friendlier of the two. Rutabaga likes to be petted but not picked up. They are bonded pair and love each other very much.<br/><br/>They are energetic rabbits as they are still quite young. Oh how they love to do zoomies and binkies. You'll definitely be entertained by them. They'll need plenty of chew toys to keep them stimulated and occupied.<br/><br/>Tumshie and Rutabaga should start out living in an exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. They can have that as their home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it.<br/><br/>Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit.<br/><br/>Tumshie and Rutabaga can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information.  Delivery is available up to 100 miles from Lake Elsinore.<br/><br/>PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!<br/><br/>If you are seeking a rabbit as a companion for your existing rabbit, your rabbit should be spayed/neutered.  Male/female bondings are usually recommended.
