Timothy's Story

Hi, my name is Timothy! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Active, sassy and sweet, energetic, curious
-Can Live With Kids: Yes, but an adult must be my primary caregiver.
-Experienced Rabbit Home: Highly recommended!
-Energy Level: Medium
-Can Live With Other Rabbits: Timothy was found outside with another male rabbit. They were fighting with one another which resulted in some superficial injuries. If Timothy is to live with another rabbit, introductions will need to be SLOW and STRUCTURED to ensure everyone gets along.
-Litter Box Trained: Not yet!
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope, ready to go home!
-Additional Information:
Timothy is a large rabbit who will need an extra spacious cage/enclosure. Here at WHS we require proof of an appropriate enclosure before adoption, so please make sure you've done your research before applying. If you are unsure what an appropriate enclosure looks like, please don't hesitate to ask a staff member. We are here to help!

Timothy was dumped outside by his previous owner and is still adjusting to life back inside. He will need someone who can be patient with him while he learns to trust. Timothy's perfect match is a rabbit-experienced person who has some extra time to dedicate to him. He will need regular handling and time outside his enclosure to ensure he's well-socialized and happy!

Timothy's diet should consist of unlimited grass hay, high quality rabbit pellets, and fresh greens daily. He can also have the occasional rabbit-safe treat (i.e. small pieces of certain fruits and veggies), but don't overdo it as bunnies are sensitive.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
