SUMMER's Story
Summer is an adult spayed female rabbit who has been with Toronto Animal Services since 2025. She was adopted out to be bonded with another rabbit however the bond did not work and she was returned with some minor injuries. As a result she is wary and anxious in new surroundings. She is friendly and has a gentle disposition once she trusts you. Summer is quiet and clean with her litterbox. She loves coming out of her pen to explore and enjoys hanging out with you. She is healthy and has an excellent appetite. She loves nibbling on Timothy Hay all day long. In addition, she enjoys a salad with fresh greens and a small portion of pellets once a day. As a treat she receives a small slice of carrot with her salad. You can also spoil her with a few rabbit safe treats which can also help her to bond with you. Summer is one of those rabbits that unfortunately gets overlooked because she is shy and nervous and ends up living in the shelter for a long time. She is looking for someone who can love her and accept her “just as she is”. All bunnies need love and a forever home. In Summer's foster Mom's personal experience bunnies like Summer can be very rewarding. When they bond with you they not only give you their love but their trust forever! If you are interested in Summer please reach out to Toronto Animal Services East at 416-338-PAWS (7297) to learn more about her!
