Stocking's Story

Our adoption process can be found on our website here: www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/process

Are you looking for a sweet companion who loves pets and attention? Look no further! Stocking is a gentle bun who is somewhat shy and hesitant at first but, once you gain his trust, is a real cuddle bug who will come to the front of the pen to greet you and follow you around to ask for attention. He loves having his head stroked and his ears massaged, and will happily grind his teeth in contentment. When you're done petting him, he will bump your hand, nudge your leg, or sometimes try to crawl into your lap to ask for more! He loves following his best buddy Mr. Kringle around, and is often found snuggling with him. He enjoys all types of food, and especially loves munching on hay in his litter box. Stocking is a true gem who will win your heart!

Mr. Kringle is shy and hesitant about interacting with people at first, but once you gain his trust, he is a very social and cuddly bun!

Estimated birth date: 6/1/21

Personality: Cuddly, Friendly toward humans, Friendly toward other animals, Funny, Hesitant, Inquisitive, Loyal, Quiet, Smart, Sweet

Favorite treats: Oxbow hay treats (all flavors), pea flakes, bananas, carrots

Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Adult Rabbit Food, Veggies, Leafy Greens, Western Timothy & Orchard Mix, fruit occasionally

Favorite toys and activities: cardboard house, wooden chews, snuggling with Mr. Kringle and following him around, munching hay, getting head strokes from his foster mom

Potty trained: We're working on it! Does not go potty outside of the cage during free roam time.

This animal’s daily routine: Daily: Morning - pellets, and hay and water refresh, spot clean poos from pen floor; Afternoon/early evening - floor time outside pen with Mr. Kringle; Early evening - dinner greens and veggies; Night - scoop litter boxes and add more paper litter if needed, hay and water refresh, spot clean poo from pen floor and straighten fleece, floor time with Mr. Kringle while pen is being spot cleaned, bedtime treat in pen before lights out. Twice a week: spray and wipe the pen floor and switch out the fleece. Once a week: full litter box clean out.

BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Stocking & Mr. Kringle are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Stocking and Mr. Kringle live in the same house as two guinea pigs and a neutered rabbit, but live on another level of the house and do not have direct interaction with them.

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Stocking likes children as long as they are gentle and respectful

Health concerns: Stocking and Mr. Kringle have a history of stress-induced GI stasis, but have not had this in their current foster home nor their previous foster home of nine months. A bag of Critical Care is kept on hand, however, in case it is needed.

Behavioral concerns: None

Note: Stocking loves taking naps in the afternoon sun while cuddling his buddy, Mr. Kringle. He also likes a nice breeze to ruffle his fur.

Stocking & Mr. Kringle came to MNPPR when their owner became disabled and was no longer able to provide care.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the Maple Grove PetSmart - 11200 Fountains Dr, Maple Grove, MN 55369 or Roseville PetSmart - 2480 Fairview Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113

Fee: Stocking & Mr. Kringle have a combined adoption fee of $175

We absolutely DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS! Please do not ask.

All rabbits within MNPPR are microchipped & up to date on their RHDV2 vaccinations before adoption.

Stocking's care while in rescue has not yet been sponsored.
