Squishmallow's Story

Squishmallow (aka Squish or Squishy) is a typical sweet and sassy dwarf bun. She likes pets but is also very opinionated and will box if she dislikes how you are cleaning her space. She also tends to get over-excited at feeding time and will lunge or grunt. She will do well with an experienced bunny person. Her litter box habits are terrific, and she loves having space to explore and find her favorite hiding spots. She navigates well under any kind of flooring, but she likes to chew rugs and bedding so it would be best to provide a bunny-proof play area and/or supervision.

Squishmallow eats a limited amount of pellets in the morning; greens for dinner (though she's picky; her foster family can provide details), and a bedtime snack (Oxbow treat). She is also a great hay eater. Her favorite toys are the chewable kind in which a treat is hidden, and she loves lounging in her doll bed. After being surrendered to HRN over a year ago, the vet discovered cancer during Squishmallow's spay, and she was also obese. But thankfully, her cancer was fully removed, and she is currently thriving cancer-free and at a much healthier weight in her foster home!

While Squishmallow is accustomed to having a bunny neighbor in her foster home and her foster family has witnessed her silently “communing” with her next door neighbor, we think it would take a calm and patient presence (bunny or otherwise) to appreciate what she can offer.
