Spritz's Story

Spritz & Selena are bonded and must be adopted together.

Spritz is an absolute sweetheart. She gives kisses! And she loves EVERYONE! And Selena is very much her Mini Me!

Spritz was rescued by concerned neighbors after being part of multiple bunnies dumped outside to die. Little did we know, this tiny gal was the momma and was already pregnant again.

Spritz gave birth to a litter of 7 kits overnight 6/6-7, shortly after being rescued.

Once this second litter of babies was weaned, Spritz was spayed and has technically been available for adoption, though she preferred to wait for her daughters to get spayed so she could remain bonded with at least one of them.

Update: Selena is now also spayed and remains bonded with Spritz. They shall be adopted together.

Spritz is very young herself. 7/1/2024 is guestimated DOB, as she appeared to be less than a year young upon intake.

Spritz is the mother of two litters. The previous litter were approximately 12-weeks-old when also dumped, one by one, by heartless humans. Sadly, the father Sunny and at least three of the babies did not survive - those are the ones we know of. Three of those older surviving babies were also rescued safely by Blue Chip Rabbitat: Bamm-Bamm, Donna & Frank. This cruelty case involved at least the 9 bunnies that we know of and has taken a heartbreaking toll on our Rabbiteers and the neighborhood where it all transpired. We can only be grateful for the buns we were able to save.

Rabbits thrive best together with their own kind. Spritz & Selena have a very special bond that will warm your heart.

If you are ready to open your heart and home to a bonded pair of house bunnies, complete the online application. Once approved, we'll schedule a Meet 'n' Greet to see if your household might be a bunderful match.

* Indoor Home Only *

Bunnies live an average of 8-10 years, but could live up to 16 or even longer! While they do enjoy gentle pets and head rubs, bunnies generally do not like to be picked up or held as they are prey animals and it can be very scary for them. They also need lots of space to move around, run, binky and play - so no small hutches nor cages. They are social animals who want to be with you and should be accepted as part of the family. They also thrive best in bonded pairs, especially during the hours you are otherwise occupied. They need vet visits just like a dog or cat and will require a yearly vaccination against RHDV2. This is a highly contagious and deadly virus.

Please do your research before adding any pet to your family. Visit rabbit.org and houserabbit.org for accurate, up-to-date bunny information. We are happy to answer any questions you may have before and after adoption, as well as assist in helping you decide whether bunnies are right for you. We offer ongoing support and encourage ongoing learning to ensure that you and your bunnies thrive.

Please find a place in your heart and home for unwanted, discarded rescue animals. Thank you for adopting, not shopping!
