Sonny & Cher's Story
Cher (white, female, 9) and Sonny (black, male, 6) are a deeply bonded pair who truly embody the I Got You Babe spirit. These two are happiest when they are together, lounging side by side, sharing hay, and settling in for long cozy cuddle sessions in their pen.

Cher is a volunteer favorite who adores attention. She happily leans into pets, enjoys grooming sessions, and has perfected the art of making brushing feel effortless. She is incredibly people friendly and social in a calm, affectionate way.

Once Sonny feels comfortable with you, his personality really shines. He will often rise up into a periscope stance to seek attention and absolutely loves head scratches. That quiet, curious affection is one of his sweetest traits, and it is incredibly rewarding once he trusts his people. He is learning that human interaction can be calm, safe, and even enjoyable.

Cher and Sonny are a very easy pair in terms of temperament and companionship. They are not high energy or demanding rabbits, instead they are content, calm, and happiest when they are together, relaxing in their space and enjoying hay throughout the day.

As a senior bunny, Cher is beginning to experience age related arthritis. She receives a daily dose of Metacam to help manage discomfort, and she takes it very willingly, especially when followed by her well earned cookie treat!

Because of her age and mobility changes, Cher does not always reliably make it to the litter box. She will need pee pads in her space and occasional clean up support, including the possibility of a butt bath now and then. She often does not realize when accidents happen, so she benefits from a patient, understanding setup that prioritizes comfort and cleanliness over perfection. Despite this, Cher remains active, bright, and very engaged, still hopping to her hay, exploring her space, and soaking up affection whenever she can.

Click START YOUR INQUIRY or email bunanzarabbit@gmail.com to schedule a time to meet fabulous Sonny & Cher!

*When you adopt older bunnies from Bunanza Rabbit Rescue, you're getting known friends.
