Smokey's Story

Smokey and a rabbit friend were surrendered to us at ADHS through no fault of their own when their family could no longer care for them.

Smokey is a super soft, sweet and gentle guy. He’s calm and friendly and loves to be petted. Smokey is a good eater (hay, fresh greens, pellets) and he’s pretty tidy in the litter box department.

As a 5-year old ‘senior’, Smokey still has lots of love to give. His special needs are dental in nature: his misaligned teeth need to be filed and ground down every 3 months in order to keep him comfortable and to avoid abrasions/sores in his mouth.

Smokey is awaiting that special person or family who will love him unconditionally and stay on top of his dental needs with a rabbit-savvy veterinarian.

Apply online for this sweet, soft senior Smokey at this link:

https://allistonhumane.com/small-animals

The animals for adoption are available on our website to view. https://allistonhumane.com/ The first step is the completion of an adoption application: https://allistonhumane.com/about-adoption. Applicants are assessed on the basis of their application and the needs of any specific animal. Meet and greets are set up to see if we have a match. We encourage the entire family to attend these meets, as well as other pets such as dogs. We also hold an open house the last Sunday of every month from 1-4pm. Please check our website for more information.
