Meet Shere Khan
Breed: Rex mix
Size: Medium
DOB: Arrived in shelter 7-18-2023
Reason in Rescue: Caught outside
Personality: Sweet, friendly, cautious
Friends: I would make a good friend
Hi my name is Shere Khan. You may have seen other Jungle book characters on this page. We were all caught in the same area. It was scary out there on our own. But it has been so nice since we have been brought in. I love when the nice volunteers take me out to run around, and then they pet me and say how sweet I am. I like to be pet and I think you would like to pet me because I am as soft as a pillow. Why don't you make time and come in and meet me. I will be waiting for you.
• Requirements •
Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with a large to x-large dog crate or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 2'). We do not recommend plastic bottom cages or hutches.
• Adoption process •
An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.eriearearabbitsociety.org), and approved by our adoption committee. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption. If you have any other questions you can email at eriearearabbitsocietyandrescue@gmail.com or call (814)838-9732.
• Recommended Food •
- Oxbow, Sherwood, Small Pet Select or Kaytee timothy pellets, about 1/4 cup per day
- Unlimited timothy hay
- 2-3 cups of fresh, dark leafy green vegetables per day
For a complete list of rabbit-friendly veggies, visit houserabbit.org.
• Bedding •
