Sapphire's Story

Meet Sapphire! Sapphire is a 2-year old Dutch bunny who came to us as a transfer from a partner organization and has truly come out of her shell in her foster home. While she was shy and nervous at the shelter, Sapphire has shown her curious, energetic, and even a little sassy side in foster care. She loves her food, enjoys toys, and will happily flop when she's feeling safe and comfortable. She is very food-motivated and thrives on enrichment that keeps her busy. She may startle at sudden movements, but with patience and gentle handling she quickly warms up. Sapphire could potentially live with cats and children who understand she may get spooked easily, but might not want a dog friend. She's ready to hop into a new home where she'll be loved, spoiled, and encouraged to keep showing off her playful personality. Are you interested in this sweet bun?

Fill out an application -> thinkingoutsidethecage.org
All of our animals are altered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines before being made available for adoption.

Animal Friends's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process is designed to match pets with the right homes while ensuring a positive experience for both the animal and adopter. Potential adopters start by exploring available pets online or in person, then complete an application and meet with staff to discuss lifestyle, preferences, and the needs of the pet. Once a good match is identified, adopters may have a meet-and-greet, and finally, complete the adoption with guidance on care, medical history, and resources for a successful transition home.
