Samson's Story

Samson is an adult, 12 1/2 pound Flemish Giant who's looking for a new home. He was surrendered to an area shelter because his owner died. Samson has a personality as big as he is! He loves to be pet on his head and ears. He also loves to hop around and explore his surroundings. He even did some binkies at the vet while hopping around! Speaking of the vet, she examined Samson and found that he has a mature cataract in his left eye. She said he probably can't see out of that eye. You can't tell by his behavior, because he doesn't startle when approached and loves to explore while hopping around outside his enclosure.

Due to Samson's size and need to explore, he cannot be housed in a cage. He will require an exercise pen with lots of toys to entertain him. He will also require a lot of time outside his enclosure to hop around and explore. Hopefully one day he can even become a free roaming rabbit since he loves to be the center of attention!

Samson is neutered and has been vaccinated against RHDV2. Adopters will receive a free copy of The House Rabbit Handbook: How to Live with an Urban Rabbit and a free one year membership to WHRS. Go to rabbit.org to learn all about having a house rabbit. Then contact WHRS!
