Sal's Story
Meet Sal (aka Salvadorable)!

With his round little body, baby face, and gentle personality, it's easy to see how Sal earned the nickname Salvadorable.

Sal came into LIRRG's care in February 2026 at approximately 3 years old. Since then, he's shown himself to be a sweet, cuddly bunny who quickly blossoms once he feels safe with kind, patient people. While he may be a little shy at first, it doesn't take long before he's happily exploring his surroundings or settling in for what could be an endless session of head pets.

This handsome Dutch rabbit is calm, playful, and incredibly affectionate. He loves spending time in his favorite little fort, enjoys plenty of hay, and has excellent litter box habits both in his condo and during free-roam time. He's the kind of bunny who appreciates a cozy routine and will happily keep you company while soaking up attention.

Sal is also very food motivated! The sound of pellets or treats instantly gets his attention, and he'll eagerly follow you around, sometimes even chasing your pant leg if he thinks dinner is on the way. He has come a long way in foster care and has learned that food is always coming, making him much more relaxed than when he first arrived.

Sal has some scarring on his left eye and a healed laceration on his eyelid from trauma he experienced before being rescued. The injury is fully healed and doesn't cause him any pain, but he will need a small amount of eye lubricant once a day to keep that eye comfortable. He takes this routine in stride.

If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who loves cuddles, has wonderful house manners, and will make you smile every time his little round face looks up at you, Sal may be the perfect bunny for your family.

Age: Approximately 3 years old (upon arrival)
Personality: Sweet, cuddly, shy, playful, calm, and gentle
Special Care: Daily eye lubricant for his left eye
