Ruger's Story

eet Ruger. This 4-year-old Lionhead came to us as an owner surrender when his previous family didn't have time for him. Ruger loves fruits and vegetables and isn't shy about letting you know when his boundaries are being pushed with a firm thump. Ruger has quite a flair for the dramatics and loves to dramatically flop in front of his human friends to demand petting. Once he's done, he's off and binkying around the room, or thumping to let his human friends know he's had enough and it's time for his much-needed rest alone after so much socializing! He also loves to explore and has no issue nudging people out of the way during bun runs to get to where he wants to go. Think this spunky guy could be your perfect match?

Fill out an application -> thinkingoutsidethecage.org
All of our animals are altered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations before being made available for adoption.

Potential adopters start by exploring available pets online or in person, then complete an application and meet with staff to discuss lifestyle, preferences, and the needs of the pet. Once a good match is identified, adopters may have a meet-and-greet, and finally, complete the adoption with guidance on care, medical history, and resources for a successful transition home.
