Rufus's Story

Hi everyone, my name is Rufus, and I was recently taken into the rescue when my previous owner could no longer care for me. The rescue received an email saying she was going through a bad break up and being evicted from her apartment and having to move back home. It seems her family was not allowing her to take the bun home with her. She arrived at one of our foster homes visibly upset to part with her beloved animal.

Rufus was purchased from a farm and is about 2 years of age. He was not neutered at that time but has since been seen by a vet and has now been neutered. His foster mom says his litterbox habits have now improved significantly and now he is just searching for his forever home.

Rufus is about 5 lbs and full grown. He is highly food motivated and a wonderful hay eater which is always a good thing for rabbits.

He is eating a proper diet of Oxbow Adult Rabbit Pellets, lots of timothy hay and a big bowl of fresh water that is changed and washed daily. He loves any and all treats and that is definitely the way to this guys heart. Food, food and more food!!!

He may be a good bonding candidate or any spayed females searching for a mate.

Would you consider opening your heart and home to a guy who found himself in need of a new home?
