Ruby's Story
Ruby was abandoned outside by her previous family and rescued by our volunteers just before a big snowstorm earlier this year. A couple of weeks later, at just a baby herself, Ruby gave birth. She was an amazing mother to her babies, but now that they're all grown up, Ruby deserves a life and family of her own. Ruby is boundless energy. She does the most amazing zoomies and binkies. She is such a happy girl and always makes her foster parents smile. Ruby loves attention and lights up when anyone enters the room. Ruby does have a hormonal imbalance that causes her to feel her emotions very deeply. When she's excited she is uncontrollably excited, when she's startled she gets very scared, and when she feels threatened she can get defensive. We'll set her adopters up for success with everything they need to know, but because of her unpredictability Ruby should not be in a home with small children. We think Ruby would do well with a bunny friend and thrive in a home with plenty of space to play and explore.
