Rosie (Bonded to Lightning)'s Story
About Rosie:

Bonded pair, Rosie and Lightning, arrived into our care in March 2023. We would love for them to finally find their forever home.

They arrived into our care after being transferred from a Windsor area shelter that was overfull. The shelter advised us that they were an owner surrender, citing litter box habits as the reason for the surrender. They had been found outside as strays 3 months prior to their surrender.

Rosie was pregnant upon arrival to the Windsor area shelter and had an emergency spay to avoid her having a litter of babies that would contribute to the severe overpopulation problem in domestic rabbits. Since her spay, her litter box habits have improved tremendously (as expected) and they can now be refered to as perfect!

Rosie is a very sweet girl, and has happily lived in a few different foster homes including those with children, cats and dogs. As Rosie is a female, she is dominant in the bonded relationship she has with Lightning. She is a little bolder when it comes to exploring and has a bit more confidence in general. She adores her husbun Lightning and is very affectionate towards him.

Her most recent annual exam was in April 2025 which she passed with flying colours and was vaccinated against RHDV2 at that time as well.
