Randi's Story

Randi & Neeley were found as strays in August 2026. Sadly Randi's friend was very sickly and crossed the rainbow bridge shortly after arriving, but Randi was much healthier and was treated for ear mites and fecal tested clear at the vet upon arrival.
From Randi's foster parent: She is an explorer, mellow, curious, and bossy. I wouldn’t call her playful or particularly energetic though in the morning, she’s pretty energetic around feeding. She’s not afraid of people. She will willingly eat out of your hand and crawl over you if food is involved, but if there’s no food involved, she would prefer to keep her distance. However, she likes to lay under my desk and laid on my feet one day while I sat there. Currently she allows you to pet her, but she is nervous about it and will leave if she can. She has only met 1 small dog and just stood there while she was sniffed and that was that. She is OK with 'expected' noises like the dishes being done while she's in the kitchen, but will startle with new sudden/unexpected noises like a sudden loud noise from a previously quiet TV. She is A+ PERFECT with the litterbox! She even goes back to her habitat to use the bathroom while she is out and about. The only time she plays with her toys is if there is food hidden in them. :-D She’s a total pig for her pellets, likes romaine but not so much other greens. She likes parsley and cilantro a little bit, doesn’t care as much for fruit (which is uncommon for most buns!).
Randi's ideal person would be someone who wants a rabbit that they can enjoy being around, but don’t necessarily want to seek affection from them or touch. She’s willing to engage around food, but otherwise likes to keep her distance though she’s very curious and won’t hesitate to come up to people if she wants to. But a lot of her interaction is things like nose bumps on a leg to let me know I’m in her way or she’s hungry. Her big pluses are that she is very clean and not at all destructive.
Spay/neuter: 8/13/26Fecal test: neg 8/13/26Last weight: 7.4lbsMedgene RHDV2 vaccine dates: 8/13/26 & 9/14/26
This pet is fostered in Baton Rouge, LA.
