If you see a pet you are interested in you can send in an application or email for more info. Applications are available at coquitlam.ca and can be emailed to adoption@coquitlam.ca. All the animals that arrive at the Shelter are stray. The information that we have on the animals has been gathered since their arrival at the Shelter. and with the help of our volunteers. We do our best to assess the animals and disclose everything we know regarding health and temperament to interested adopters We do not adopt outside of BC or ship animals. We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the h?n?q??min??m? word k?ik?????m (kwee-kwuh-tlum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”.
