Queen's Story

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereAs the name suggests, Queen is a regal and majestic bun. As such, she deserves castle and the shelter is just not cutting it anymore. She would much prefer doting butlers to provide her with piles of organic vegetables served on the finest china. This girl can inhale her greens like no other so it’s no surprise that food is the key to her heart.

As her close friend and confidant, Queen Elizabeth II, once said, “Over the years, those who have seemed to me to be the most happy, contented and fulfilled have always been the people who have a bunny.” Okay, maybe we changed a few words...but close enough! Queen needs a patient home that gives her time to warm up but it doesn’t take long and treats certainly speed up the process. She is eager and ready to find her forever kingdom and reign over her subjects (you) with pride and love!

Queen is assertive, saucy, and bursting with energy—she knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it! This girl is very smart, very curious, and yes, very sneaky. Fair warning: Queen is an escape artist extraordinaire, so she'll need an adopter who can bunny-proof like a pro and stay one step ahead of her clever antics.

She's been a star in foster care, where she's proven herself to be social and adaptable—she's even met a big dog! Queen would absolutely thrive in a home that can give her lots of room to explore and plenty of entertainment to keep that brilliant mind engaged.

If you're looking for a bunny with a big personality, endless energy, and the brains to keep you on your toes, Queen is ready to rule your heart and home!

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Rabbits of Oakland Animal Services (@rabbitsofoas)
