Mid week - scoop out and refresh litter box litter where soiled. Once a week - full litter box and pen clean out.

BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Viridian & Pewter are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Cat and rabbit in previous foster home - got along well. Shares current foster home with a rabbit and guinea pigs, but does not have direct interaction with them.

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Yes, with elementary aged child in previous foster home. Interacted well.

Health concerns: None

Behavioral concerns: Pewter is in the trust training program for general shyness. Sitting in her pen and speaking, singing, or reading softly has helped her come out and explore more frequently. Pewter has started to take treats from my fingers, and will sniff me when I'm sitting in her pen. She responds well to treats, saying hi back to her (bowing your head), making slow movements, and praising her in a soft voice.

Other notes: Pewter is curious and inquisitive. She's a brave girl who is often the first one out of her little house to greet you in the morning, and to come up and sniff your hand, knees, and feet! She loves hanging out in her litter box and munching hay, and sitting in a bun loaf inside her hidey house. You will often see her little eye peeking out at you from one of the windows! Pewter is still somewhat shy with her new foster family, but is starting to take treats from her foster mom's fingers, and is becoming more willing to explore her enclosure and munch hay while her foster mom sits close by. She has also started 'laughing' (shaking her ears and giving a little hop) when her foster mom joins her and her sister in their enclosure for hang out time. Pewter enjoys being read and sung to, and relaxes the most during these times.

Viridian & Pewter came to MNPPR after being found outside.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the Eagan PetSmart - 1297 Promenade Pl, Eagan, MN 55121 for meet & greets, & adoptions.

Fee: Viridian & Pewter have a combined adoption fee of $175

We absolutely DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS! Please do not ask.

Viridian & Pewter's care while in rescue has not yet been sponsored. If you would like to donate to provide veterinary care, food, bedding, and enrichment for Viridian & Pewter or other pocket pets in the care of MNPPR, please visit https://www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/sponsor-a-pocket-pet for more information.

All rabbits within MNPPR are spayed/neutered, microchipped & up to date on their RHDV2 vaccinations before adoption.
