Meet Petey and Patrick
Petey and Patrick were abandoned in the woods at a park in Philadelphia. Lucky for them they crossed paths with a dog walker who quickly scooped them up and brought them to safety. Patrick had a swollen knee and was diagnosed with patella luxation. Since repairing a knee joint isn’t a guarantee of success long term, the medical team and BBI decided an amputation would be best to allow Patrick to live a long healthy life. You would never know Patrick is missing a hind leg as he gets around beautifully.
These two lop boys are social and delightful, full of energy and fun. Petey can be a bit food-mad, but keeping his belly full at all times takes care of that. Patrick is missing one rear leg from an old injury, but it doesn't slow him down one bit. They are both super with their litter box and get along perfectly.
