Pepper's Story

Greetings from the most charming "helicopter-eared" bun you’ll ever meet! I’m Pepper, a snowy-nosed explorer with a one-ear-up, one-ear-down style that is guaranteed to stop you in your tracks. I am a vibrant, high-energy soul who treats every day like a grand opening, specializing in the fine art of blanket choreography and the Olympic sport of toy tossing. When the mood strikes me, I am a blur of motion, launching into high-speed zoomies and gravity-defying binkies that prove just how much zest for life I have packed into this fuzzy body.
I am a curious socialite who isn't afraid to give you a polite nudge to remind you that I’m present and ready for interaction. While I am still navigating the world of human trust, I am making incredible strides; I’ve discovered that head pats paired with my favorite pellets or treats are a winning combination. My appetite is legendary, and I approach every bowl of greens and pile of hay with pure, unadulterated joy. I am also a dream roommate with impeccable litter box habits, preferring to keep my snacking and relaxing all in one tidy, convenient spot.
I am searching for a patient, peaceful sanctuary where my big personality can truly take center stage. I need a home that offers me the freedom to roam and the time to show you that, once I know I'm safe, I will be the most loyal and entertaining companion you've ever had. If you have a soft spot for a quirky ear and a heart full of potential, I am ready to hop right into your life and start our adventure together.

If you think I sound interesting, send an email to MCRS at --> info@mncompanionrabbit.org

You can complete an application at --> https://www.mncompanionrabbit.org/adoption-application

All MCRS rabbits are sterilized, microchipped, and vaccinated against RHDV2. Thank you for being interested in adopting a homeless rabbit!

Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society's Adoption Policy
Rabbits available through the Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society are all homeless rabbits taken in through partnerships with local animal shelters and animal control facilities. The rabbits have been examined by veterinarians, are sterilized and are currently cared for by private foster homes. The goal of the MCRS adoption program is to match these rabbits with families like yours to best accommodate the needs and interest of both. The MCRS adoption process includes an application, a phone interview, and a meeting with the rabbit(s) you are interested in. The adoption fee for a single rabbit is $100 (plus tax), and a bonded pair fee is $165 (plus tax). This fee is nonrefundable because adoption fees help to cover costs involved in caring for a rabbit prior to his/her adoption. Each rabbit receives RHDV2 vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery. In addition to daily care, foster rabbits benefit from socialization and litter-box training during their stay with MCRS. We are located in the Twin Cities metro area in Minnesota. We do not ship rabbits and must meet all adopters in person. If you are interested in adopting a rabbit, please email us to receive an application and other rabbit adoption and care materials. Thank you for your interest in adopting a homeless rabbit!
