Peanut Brittle's Story

Meet Peanut Brittle! This little peanut was found abandoned as part of a group of at least 28 rabbits that were dumped near cornfields and forest. The living situation before they were found are unknown however they looked to be uncared for, neglected, injured and dirty. We are beyond thankful for the group of rabbit rescuers that work tirelessly day/night, rain or shine to bring these rabbits to safety!

Peanut is a tiny little thing at only about 3 pounds. We don't know her exact breed other than she has beautiful agouti fur. She is most likely young, perhaps 6 months old, however she may have had litters in her life due to the nature of her former living situation. Also, you can see that she has a tear in her ear also due to fighting in an overcrowded and unsafe environment.

She came to us quite overwhelmed and frightened but is slowly showing her true self which is gentle, playful, curious and sweet! Her ideal home would be quiet and loving with a large rabbit-proofed area for her to free roam in for most of her time. Despite having a history of fighting with other rabbits, we believe she was being picked on and would love to find a true rabbit friend that she can have by her side! If you have a neutered/vaccinated male rabbit that is also looking for a friend, Peanut would love to meet him!

Her adoption fee includes RHDV2 vaccination, microchip and spay surgery. She will be cleared and ready for meets after August 6. Please fill out our adoption questionnaire if you'd like to meet her or any of our other rabbits!
