Orion's Story

Meet Orion!! (case #20015)

Orion is a handsome, silvery-soft gentleman with a little extra fluff and a whole lot of personality!

This plump little explorer loves having room to stretch his legs, hop around, and investigate everything his whiskers can find. Give Orion a large, bunny-safe space to explore, and you’ll see his curious side come to life as he hops, sniffs, and surveys his surroundings like the tiny adventurer he believes himself to be.

Orion does have one important quirk: he can be a little territorial about his enclosure. He likes his personal space respected and may get defensive when someone reaches into his home or tries to rearrange his things. With patience, consistency, and gentle handling, his humans can learn his boundaries and build trust with him. He’s much happier when he gets plenty of supervised time outside his enclosure to explore on his own terms.

Rabbits make wonderful companions, but they’re more than just cute, cuddly pets. They’re intelligent, social animals who need daily exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of space to hop and explore.

A healthy rabbit’s diet should consist primarily of unlimited grass hay, along with fresh leafy greens, a measured amount of rabbit pellets, and fresh water. Rabbits also need safe things to chew because their teeth continuously grow. Regular veterinary care with a rabbit-savvy veterinarian is important, too.

Orion would thrive with an adopter who understands rabbit body language, respects his boundaries, and is prepared to give him the enrichment and space he deserves. A bunny-proofed area, tunnels, toys, hideaways, and plenty of opportunities to forage and explore can help keep his curious mind and busy feet happy.

If you’re looking for a rabbit with personality, charm, and a wonderfully soft silver coat, Orion may be your guy. Come meet this fluffy explorer and see if you’re the person Orion has been waiting to call family! Visit him at our adoption partner, PetSmart. The address is 1779 Stone Church Road East, Stoney Creek.

Adopters must provide their own enclosure and accessories.

*Please note: we only adopt within Ontario
