Meet Ophelia

Hello everybody! Let me introduce myself - I’m Ophelia the adorable lionhead lop or Puddin’ Butt as my foster mom calls me because I guess I have a squishy tushy. So, a little about me. I was very sassy when I came to stay with my foster mom but she has shown me humans aren’t so bad. Now I’m only about 15-20% sassy - just depends on the day - lol! On top of being absolutely adorable, my foster mom tells me I am a unique bunny. I will flip a bunch of 360s and race around when I get excited and love to play ball. I am also a very vocal bunny - meaning I grunt all the time - my foster mom says I sound like Danny Devito as the Penguin in Batman Returns : ). I grunt if my foster mom doesn’t follow the rules (we will get to that later), I grunt when she gives me treats or paper towel rolls and I grunt when she plays ball with me. My likes are treats (especially a little bit of freeze-dried apple or a small slice of banana), being brushed and petted, playing ball, chewing cardboard and snuggling. Now - on to the most important part - the rules. Rule # 1 - you need to put your hand down and let me approach you. If I sniff you and approve, I will put my head down for pets. If you approach me fast or over the top of me and I get startled, I will get sassy. Rule # 2 - I LOVE to chew on cardboard things - my foster mom bought me a box I can hide in and chew (LOVE that) - and I also like empty paper towel rolls. Please make sure to have plenty for me to chew on. As far as my forever home, I might do best with an experienced bunny person or persons who have patience to continue working with me. I may do best in a single bunny home as I try to challenge my foster brother if he gets too close to my pen. If you would be interested in meeting me, please contact MCRS. I can’t wait to meet you!!!
