Odie's Story

Hello! My name is Odie, but you can call me the Great Rabbit Houdini—I'm kind of a big deal when it comes to escaping! My foster human is always left in awe after I pull off some of my impressive feats of intelligence and agility. "How did you get out/up/in there?" and "How did you do that?" are just a couple of the questions they ask when they can't find me (again).
When I'm not busy perfecting my escape artist skills, I enjoy the simple things in life: munching on hay, greens, and pellets, keeping my litter box tidy, exploring new areas, and soaking up some relaxation in a shady spot. I love being around my foster human but am still a little unsure about all that touching stuff. I’m a work in progress, but who knows? Maybe one day I’ll let you pet me.

I get along pretty well with other rabbits, especially when we have a nice, quiet date to ourselves. But I’m not a fan of big crowds of bunnies and humans—too much stimulation for me! If you're looking for a clever and independent companion who enjoys spending time nearby (but maybe not cuddling just yet), I might be your perfect match!

If you think you can keep up with my adventurous spirit and let me show you my Houdini-like skills, apply to adopt me today! Could you be the one to help me with my next great adventure? Let's find out!

I would love to meet you and maybe become a part of your family. If you think I sound interesting, send an email to MCRS at --> info@mncompanionrabbit.org

You can complete an application at --> https://www.mncompanionrabbit.org/adoption-application

All MCRS rabbits are sterilized, microchipped, and vaccinated against RHDV2. Thank you for being interested in adopting a homeless rabbit!

Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society's Adoption Policy
Rabbits available through the Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society are all homeless rabbits taken in through partnerships with local animal shelters and animal control facilities. The rabbits have been examined by veterinarians, are sterilized and are currently cared for by private foster homes. The goal of the MCRS adoption program is to match these rabbits with families like yours to best accommodate the needs and interest of both. The MCRS adoption process includes an application, a phone interview, and a meeting with the rabbit(s) you are interested in. The adoption fee for a single rabbit is $100 (plus tax), and a bonded pair fee is $165 (plus tax). This fee is nonrefundable because adoption fees help to cover costs involved in caring for a rabbit prior to his/her adoption. Each rabbit receives RHDV2 vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery. In addition to daily care, foster rabbits benefit from socialization and litter-box training during their stay with MCRS. We are located in the Twin Cities metro area in Minnesota. We do not ship rabbits and must meet all adopters in person. If you are interested in adopting a rabbit, please email us to receive an application and other rabbit adoption and care materials. Thank you for your interest in adopting a homeless rabbit!
