Muffy's Story
Muffy is a sweet, gentle little lady. She can be a bit timid at first, though warms up with loving kindness. She enjoys being petted at her level, enrichment activities involving healthy treats, fun-around time and tunnels.

Back story: Little Debbie and Muffy (Muffin) are beautiful Lionhead sisters. They were approximately 16-weeks-young at intake 5/3/25. Sadly, these beautiful bunnies were used for decoration at a fancy Easter dinner event. A huge centerpiece display is set up every year at this event with live rabbits surrounded by plexiglass, flowers and sometimes balloons and other Easter decorations. The rabbits are SOLD for impulse purchases during and after this Easter event. ***Rabbits should NOT be impulse purchases nor for Easter gifts!*** Research is an important part of preparing to bring them into your home and making them a part of your family.

Muffy was spayed, bondable and is ready for adoption to a good indoor only FURever and EVER home who has done their research. Sadly, these sisters did not re-bond with each other. Debbie was a bit "extra" for Muffy's liking. Though Muffy is a good candidate to bond with another bunny, who is a bit more docile like she is.

We are always working with the rabbits to help them find their true bond-bun, as they truly thrive best with their own kind. Could your bunny be "THE Bun"? Or would you consider an already bonded pair?

Complete the online application and, once approved, we'll schedule a Meet 'n' Greet to see if your household might be a bunderful match.

* Indoor Home Only *

Bunnies live an average of 8-10 years, but could live up to 16 or even longer! While they do enjoy gentle pets and head rubs, bunnies generally do not like to be picked up or held as they are prey animals and it can be very scary for them. They also need lots of space to move around, run, binky and play - so no small hutches nor cages. They are social animals who want to be with you and should be accepted as part of the family. They also thrive best in bonded pairs, especially during the hours you are otherwise occupied. They need vet visits just like a dog or cat and will require a yearly vaccination against RHDV2. This is a highly contagious and deadly virus. First vaccines are a series of two, three weeks apart.

***Please do your research before adding any pet to your family. Visit rabbit.org and houserabbit.org for accurate, up-to-date bunny information. We are happy to answer any questions you may have before and after adoption, as well as assist in helping you decide whether bunnies are right for you. We offer ongoing support and encourage ongoing learning to ensure that you and your bunnies thrive.

Please find a place in your heart and home for unwanted, discarded rescue animals. Thank you for adopting, not shopping!
