Mr. Kringle's Story

Our adoption process can be found on our website here: www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/process

Are you looking for a friendly rabbit who loves pets and exploring his world? Then Mr. Kringle is your bun! He adores navigating all corners of his room during floor time, and is often seen poking his head out of the windows of his cardboard house and chewing ‘just a little bit more off the sides’ to make the windows more accessible. When his excursions are through, he likes to go back in his enclosure and settle down for a snuggle with his best buddy Stocking, and some head strokes and ear massages from his foster mom. When it comes to food, Mr. Kringle is there! He loves to eat, and is not picky about what it is. Lettuce…check, cilantro…check, fennel…ooo, what’s this? Check! If all this sounds just too good to resist, you’re invited to read the rest of this profile to continue to get to know this amazing rabbit who will win your heart!

Estimated birth date: 6/1/21

Personality: Cuddly, Curious, Friendly toward humans, Friendly toward other animals, Inquisitive, Playful, Smart, Sweet

Favorite treats: Oxbow hay treats (apple banana and cranberry flavored), pea flakes, bananas, carrots

Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Adult Rabbit Food, Veggies, Leafy Greens, Western Timothy & Orchard Mix, fruit occasionally

Favorite toys and activities: snuggling with Stocking, chewing on his cardboard house and paper roll tubes, exploring his room during floor time, and bumping his foster mom’s arm or leg to ask for pets

Potty trained: We're working on it! Does not go potty outside of the cage during free roam time.

This animal’s daily routine: Daily: Morning - pellets, and hay and water refresh, spot clean poos from pen floor; Afternoon/early evening - floor time outside pen with Stocking; Early evening - dinner greens and veggies; Night - scoop litter boxes and add more paper litter if needed, hay and water refresh, spot clean poo from pen floor and straighten fleece, floor time with Stocking while pen is being spot cleaned, bedtime treat in pen before lights out. Twice a week: spray and wipe pen floor and switch out fleece. Once a week: full litter box clean out.

BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Stocking & Mr. Kringle are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Mr. Kringle and Stocking live in the same house as two guinea pigs and a neutered rabbit, but live on another level of the house and do not have direct interaction with them.

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Mr. Kringle likes children as long as they are respectful and gentle

Health concerns: Mr. Kringle and Stocking have a history of stress induced GI stasis, but have not had this in their current foster home nor their previous foster home of nine months. A bag of Critical Care is kept on hand, however, in case it is needed.

Behavioral concerns: None

Other notes: Mr. Kringle likes to settle down for a nice pet. When he's happy, he grinds his teeth.

Stocking & Mr. Kringle came to MNPPR when their owner became disabled and was no longer able to provide care.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the Maple Grove PetSmart - 11200 Fountains Dr, Maple Grove, MN 55369 or Roseville PetSmart - 2480 Fairview Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113

Fee: Stocking & Mr. Kringle have a combined adoption fee of $175

We absolutely DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS! Please do not ask.

All rabbits within MNPPR are microchipped & up to date on their RHDV2 vaccinations before adoption.

A portion of Mr. Kringle's care while in rescue has been sponsored by an anonymous donor! If you would like to donate to provide veterinary care, food, bedding, and enrichment for Mr. Kringle or other pocket pets in the care of MNPPR, please visit https://www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/sponsor-a-pocket-pet for more information.
