May's Story

Meet May, an adorable little black & white bunny who was found hopping around town all on her own. A kind person rescued her and brought her to us. She's now ready to find her new home!

May is quiet and shy. While she has gained some confidence since arriving, she will do well with a rabbit-savvy, patient family to coax her further out of her shell. She might like a friendly rabbit brother to help her gain even more confidence. We find opposite sex pairings do best, even when they're spayed/neutered.

May is approximately 7 months old, has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $50 + tax.

Please email any questions to shelter@newwestcity.ca or submit your application form today!

Form: https://www.newwestcity.ca/database/files/library/NWAS_Small_Animal_Adoption_Application_2020.pdf

New Westminster Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AN ANIMAL, please submit an application form. This is the FIRST step in the adoption process. Please do NOT email us just to express interest. https://www.newwestcity.ca/services/animal-services/animal-shelter Our animals have unique personalities and needs. Our goal is to find the most suitable home for them and the most suitable pet for you. We make every effort to place animals in “forever” homes so they don’t find themselves back in a shelter. They’ve already lost their home once, and we don’t want them to go through that again. All applications are reviewed by two shelter staff members. We also conduct a phone interview, at which time we will address any questions or concerns you may have. Typically, we are able to inform applicants within 72 hours. If your application has been approved, we will then schedule a time for you to come pick up your new family member!
