Maui: video!!'s Story

**I have been waiting for a home since April of 2026**<br/><br/>*This bunny is fully vaccinated for RHDV**<br/>Breed: Britannia Petite<br/>Size: about 2-3 lbs full grown<br/>DOB: Approximately 1 year old as of April 2026<br/>Reason in rescue: Maui was transferred to us from another rescue when he needed a safe place to land.<br/>Personality: Maui was originally rescued and brought to a shelter up north, who determined after only a few days, him to be unadoptable. He went back to the rescue but was unfortunately in a busy place with a lot of activity and didnt do well there so he came to us to see how his behavior was. Maui was known there for biting, attacking, and biting onto people and not letting go lol. Maui I believe was kicked or treated badly at one point when he was on the ground. Being in a pen at ground level, makes him very scared and very "I'm going to hurt you before you can hurt me. Let me tell you though, I love this boy so much. I think it helps, being in a place thats a bit more relaxed, and also being someplace where people understand bunny behavior a bit better. Maui can be scared and nervous of hands at first. We never come at him from the front (and we do not do that with bunnies in general as they cannot see right in front of their face). When we go slow with him and give him time to adapt, he LOVES being petted. He will drop his head to the ground now when he sees your hand coming and loves gentle head pets. Hes a tiny little guy, and as tiny guys go, they are usually high energy. He loves to run around, he loves to dig and play and explore everything. Tiny bunnies especially need a lot of stimulation, things to keep them busy, playtime to run around. They have energy and they want to use it and if they dont get it out, it can come out in different ways lol. He is a great boy who just needs someone who will teach him he can trust them and let him be a bunny! Hes very good with his litter box. We recommend adults only for this boy due to his size. He needs to be in a large size (4' x 2' at minimum) cage, where someone cannot walk in to it. He needs his space to be HIS space. Alternatively he can be free range, he is very good with his litter box and does well when not confined. We do not recommend housing this boy in a pen, and we only recommend doing things in his cage or pen when he is not in it. <br/>Friends: He is a good candidate to be bonded to a spayed female.<br/>Requirements: Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with an as large as possible plastic bottomed cage or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 2' for a single, 4 x 4 for a pair). Adoption process: An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html), and approved by us. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption (but can be waived if pictures or video are supplied of where the bunny will be living). Suggested adoption donation is $100 which includes his neuter, vaccine, and microchip.

**Please scroll down on any animal you are interested in and read their profile thoroughly. It tells all relevant information on the animal and also how you can begin the adoption process!** If interested in adopting an animal from Judge's Park, you must first fill out our adoption application at https://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html. Once we get that completed and sent to us we can set up a visit to see the animal you are interested in. We cannot set up visits before we receive the application. Judge's Park does not have open hours and animals are visited by appointment only. No exceptions! Rabbits and cats require a home visit prior to adoption. We may or may not ask you of a picture of your cage and set up if adopting another type of animal. We have the right to refuse adoption to ANYONE. Adoption appointments, surrenders, or other visits are at the time scheduled. Not before and not after. If you arrive early, we ask that you wait in your car until your appointment time. If you will be over 30 minutes late, we ask that you reschedule for another day. We cannot schedule appointments after 6:30 in the evening. No calls no shows will NOT be rescheduled. Please be respectful of the people who take their time to run this rescue and their personal time that could be spent with their families. We strive to adopt animals to the best home that we can find for them. Many of them have been neglected, abandoned, and abused, and we will not allow them to be returned to such an environment. If we do not think a home is suitable, we will not place an animal in that home. All of our animals are adopted out as indoors only! If we are able, the animal will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption (all cats and rabbits). No animal will ever be adopted out for breeding. If you do not live close to us and are interested in an animal, we do work with transports. Pictures and/or video in lieu of a home visit may be required.
