Marcy's Story
Marcy was found abandoned in a field at a park. She was left with her carrier, open door and to fend on her own. Domestic rabbits are not fit to survive in the 'wild'. A kind family took Marcy in. However, the family didn't have the means to care for her and luckily were linked up with us. Marcy was welcomed into our care in November 2022.
Marcy is both shy and outgoing all in one. It doesn't take much to make her happy. She loves chewing on her blankets, towels and toys. She loves having her adventure time roaming around outside of her pen, but, her favorite place to be is in her little bed/safe spot. She likes to just watch life in her comfort and safety and just hops out when she's feeling it.
She is litter trained! Loves munching on her hay, pellets, greens and small (and occasional) fruit treats. Marcy is very low maintenance. She doesn't really enjoy being pet but she does enjoy having your company. Sometimes shes comes over to you when you put your hand out and will rub her little chin on your hand. Then she scurries back to her safe place. That's how you know that you've made friends with her.
As timid and sweet as Marcy can be, she's definitely got a salty side that adds to her character! She loves having her OWN space. She isn't up for having bunny friends living with her. When a 'neighbor' rabbit is out and about and comes over to her pen to say hi, she likes to lunge at them and tell them to go away! She does this with the cats and dogs that visit sometimes too! If she's roaming around our foster room, she does go and say hi to the other rabbits sometimes, but, on HER terms.
She's a very low maintenance girl who deserves a loving, quiet home.
