Maisie's Story
litter box trained, will be spayed/microchipped

I picked Maisie up after seeing her on the Union County Animal Control page. She was found abandoned outside. She came to me very uneasy and scared, and the first few days she let me know how she felt with a lot of honks and thumps.
She is still timid but has come along way and warms up when snacks are involved! She is a foodie at heart! She is smart and very determined when she wants to do something. I can tell she has a bossy personality. She is MOSTLY litter trained. She does not like to be picked up, and is slowly warming up to head rubs.
She is a rabbit that will need someone with a lot of patience when it comes to bonding with her. I’ve done a lot of laying and sitting on the ground with her to build her trust. She will need that, and she seems to enjoy it. She likes to come up to me, and play around me. I believe once she truly bonds with her person that bond will be strong!
She does have a lot of energy, so have a lot of enrichment for her. Seeing her binky when she gets excited is the cutest! I do not think she would do well with loud or large animals in the house. Small kids in the house probably isn’t ideal either. She has been around a few of my cats, but doesn’t seem too thrilled with them.
Maisie is a sweet girl who deserves to feel safe and loved in her forever home! I know in the right home she will feel confident, thrive, and bring lots of joy with her smarts and sass!

application link: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/66539/generic
